Seniors
commit to colleges - Fall 2007
Congratulations to the
following girls who have committed with universities: Jessica
Arana. (Stephen F. Austin), Emily Casey, (Syracuse University),
Brittany Simmons (North Texas), Stephanie Shiflet (Southern
Mississippi University), Maci Allen (University of Kentucky),
Ashley Collazo (University of Texas El Paso), Kristin Lusby
(University of Texas El Paso) Allison Tarbox (Millsaps
College), Rachel Harris (Iona College), Taran Tyler (Texas
A&M University), Lyndsy Maus (Southwestern University). . . we're all very proud of
you!!!
Iowa State freshman pitcher Rachel
Zabriskie became the Cyclones’ first Big 12 All-Tournament
team honor since 1996. Rachel was the winning pitcher in Iowa
State's first tournament win since 2002, tossing 10 complete
innings as the Cyclones upended Baylor in the opening round.
Way to go "Z" we're all proud of you.
Jessica Valis, former Power player and
currently playing with University of Houston, took home her
first Conference USA Player of the Year accolade Wednesday May
9th at the Conference USA's banquet. Showing she can excel
academically as well as in softball, Jessica also received
academic honors. The power family
couldn't be more proud.

Easter
Baskets for Katy Christian Ministries
Representatives from all 4 Houston Power teams gather with
some of the over 70 Easter baskets the organization donated to
Katy Christian Ministries.
Gold
asked back to China
Houston Power Gold has been asked back to
China at the end of the summer, 2006. The team will play a
series of games against teams from the region as well as the
Chinese National Team as they get ready for the Olympics the
following year. This is a once in a lifetime event and a great
opportunity to see how you match up against some great teams
and see an amazing country.
