If
you look up "Courage" in the dictionary, the definition
states: "Mental or moral strength to venture, persevere,
and withstand danger, fear or difficulty." You'll also
read words like "resilience, fortitude, tenacity and
firmness of mind". These are words that define the typical
Houston Power athlete. This is what the Houston Power
teaches our players. We believe that our players can
take these qualities and apply them in their everyday
lives... and make a positive impact in our world.
The
Houston Power believes in putting our athletes in the
best exposure tournaments in the country. Since 1999,
our 18 Gold team has qualified for ASA Gold nationals
7 years in a row. We are recognized throughout the country
and our players are recruited nationally (Visit
our Power Alumni Page to where our athletes go).
Just
as impressive, our 16U team has qualified for both ASA
and/or AFA Nationals for the past 5 years, and our 14U
finished 5th at the 2004 AFA nationals. We were also
the first Texas team to ever attend the Rising Stars
Exposure Tournament in Florida, and for the past 7 years
have take both our 16 and 18 Gold teams to Boulder,
Colorado to the Independence Day College Exposure tournament.
