The Matthew Glowacz Memorial

Matthew Glowacz, the 18-year-old son of John and Beth Glowacz, was killed in an automobile accident in October 2004. Matthew, whose Dad coaches the Houston Power 18 Gold team, was the "number one fan" of his sister's and dad's softball teams. The softball community is banding together to raise funds to erect a memorial to Matthew at the family's church, Living Word Lutheran Church in Katy, Texas, where Matthew was an active member and participant in the youth ministry program. The two-stone water fountain will be placed in a meditation area on the church grounds and symbolize Matthew's relationship with God.

If you would like to be a part of this lasting tribute to Matthew and the Glowacz Family, please send your tax-deductible donation to:

Living Word Lutheran Church
Attention: Pastor Mike Aus

Make your check payable to "Living Word Lutheran Church" and be sure to write "Matthew Glowacz Memorial" in the memo section. The support and prayers of the softball community are greatly appreciated by the Glowacz Family.

A Celebration from the Heart

On July 8th, the Houston Power showed up early at the Ford Fields in Beaumont, Texas to celebrate a life. In a pre tournament gathering, the Houston Power family wished Matt Glowacz a happy birthday with a balloon release and a quiet prayer in his memory. We are thankful that we are together to share our lives with each other... and that each moment spent together is precious. Thank you Matt... and Happy Birthday!
